Elsie-May (Lead Vocals)

Elsie-May is an international singer, dancer and performer from Jersey.

After studying Musical Theatre at Laine Theatre arts in London Elsie-May went off travelling the world as a dancer for the worlds largest cruise company performing to a full house daily on some of the worlds largest ships. Elsie then turned her talents to her passion for singing and self taught her way to the top taking over as lead vocalist before moving back to her home island of Jersey due to covid.

Since, Elsie has relaid her roots back in Jersey and thrown her experience and knowledge into creating Ruby Rouge and Elsie and the Emeralds with these amazing and talented musicians.

Marcus (Drums)

"Marcus the Magnet" studied at the institute of contempory music performance in London and is one hell of a drummer!

Taking inspiration from disco and funk drummers from yesteryear "The magnet" lays grooves that transcend every era and get peoples feet shuffling.

Marcus is also a part of our trio- 'Elsie and the Emeralds'.

Mia (Keys)

Mia has been tickling the keys since she was 6 years old and has studied the ABRSM Piano grades.

Mia taught at a local music school before venturing out into the big wide world to set up her own studio where she teaches privately at 'Mia Carney Piano'

Mia plays in both 'Ruby Rouge' and 'Elsie and the Emeralds' and has gained heaps of performing experience and knowledge in the process of building and creating both bands.

James (Bass and Vocals)

James has been hittin' up the low end for most of his life and has developed his own percussive style that he brings with him to each and every performance.

Having completed his grades from a young age, James has since been in a number of professional bands over the years that have played at many prestigious events.  James has a vast knowledge in contemporary bass guitar techniques, as well as both musical theory and melodic harmony.

Whatever the situation, James' grooves will  keep you dancing until the very last beat.  Combined with some killer harmonies, this ain't your typical bassist!

Having joined the band only recently, James has said he is honoured and priviliged to be working with such wonderful and hard-working musicians.

Ben (Guitar and Vocals)

Last but not least we have the wonderful Ben, our guitarist from the North-East of England.

Ben studied filmmaking at Metfilm school in London, acting & performance at the Academy of Creative Training in Brighton and studied Professional Musicianship notably playing the axe!

Ben has also performed in Productions for the BBC, Comedy Central and Brighton Fringe Festival to mention a few.

Benjamin ran a music tuition service teaching guitar for all ages in Brighton, worked as a guitar and piano tutor for Sussex Academy of Music before then joining Chordz (SOPM) as a music teacher in Jersey!

We can’t wait for you to witness some of Ben’s EPIC guitar solos 🙌🏽🎸
